The Unaffected

Staying here has reaffirmed my outlook on how life should be lived openly and sharing should be of second nature. You know what important is up here, check the surf and make friends. Life can be as simple as you make it. After living in LA for 4 years now I tended to get accustomed to grumpy complicated people. I am so happy to be involved in the surf and friend community that doesn’t encompass that style of living. Looking through the keyhole of someone else’s lifestyle and day to day you get to to appreciate what you have. It has been refreshing to meet people like Mel and others who don't maybe have the worry of a zero balance or how to make that last dollar stretch, but realize the importance of friendship and helping. I feel fortunate to be able to experience this with friends who give, and maybe don’t have but are willing to share and give what they can. How special to help others and give whenever possible.
