Pismo

Woke up to the sound of rain on our tent and little rivers everywhere. Packed our wet gear in the car or I should say it was more of a shove…the car is soooo full. Headed back up to Pismo where Hannah has a good friend that we could stay the night with. Luckily he and his wife allowed us to leave some stuff with them. We have an insane amount of gear(we both had flippers...when the hell are we going to find time to snorkel and where). With a little time to kill we hit up a charity shop, as Hannah would say, and found some killer gear to fill the car. I scored a yellow down jacket, that if lost in a crowd anyone would confuse me for a traffic guard or something of the sort. Had to have it. Hannah scored an amazing vintage Navy uniform. Classic. She will be doing some stitching on it so be sure and watch out for that one. Rain up the wazoo today…kind of nice. Spent much of the day hanging out in a restaurant looking at the surf and watching the rain. Hannah had a brilliant idea of stacking the chairs so that you could see the surf properly. Now you know why I like her. She thinks out of the box. Ran around for a bit getting thoroughly drenched and enjoyed the deserted beach and rainy weather. Not much surf in Pismo…except some nice big chop. Heavy surf is coming in. Swell up north is 10-12fl. Excited. Looked into picking up a fish or a shorter board….think my 8’10 might be a little big for the steep waves I am going to be getting in. Headed to Santa Cruz tomorrow.
